Pokhara, Ghandruk Village and Annapurna Base Camp Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Drive: 3–4 hours | Trek: 5–6 hours
Your journey begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Kimrong, passing through lush green hills, terraced farmlands, and traditional villages. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the Annapurna range and experience the rural life of western Nepal.

From Kimrong, the trek starts on a well-defined trail. The path first descends briefly and then climbs steadily through stone staircases, rhododendron forests, and small settlements.

During the trek, you will:
Pass charming Gurung villages
Cross suspension bridges
Enjoy stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail)

By late afternoon, you will reach Chhomrong, a beautiful hillside village and the main gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Meal: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
After breakfast, the trail descends steeply on stone steps to the Chhomrong Khola, followed by a gradual ascent to Sinuwa. From here, the landscape starts to feel more alpine as you enter dense forests of bamboo, oak, and rhododendron.

The trek then continues through Bamboo and Himalaya, following the Modi Khola upstream. As you move higher, the air becomes cooler and the scenery more dramatic, with towering cliffs rising on both sides, marking your entry into the sacred Annapurna Sanctuary.

By late afternoon, you reach Dovan, a quiet and peaceful stop surrounded by forests and deep mountain silence.

Meal: Breakfast Lunch and Dinner
Overnight: Tea house/lodge in Dovan.
Day 3
Trek Duration: 5–6 hour
Today is the most rewarding and memorable day of the trek. The trail ascends gradually through Deurali, where the vegetation begins to thin and the terrain becomes more rugged.

After Deurali, the landscape opens up dramatically as you walk into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary.

Passing Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), you are surrounded by a magnificent amphitheater of snow-capped peaks. A final gentle ascent then leads you to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at an altitude of 4,130 meters.

Standing at ABC, you are encircled by towering giants such as Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre, making this a truly unforgettable Himalayan experience.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Overnight: Tea house/lodge at Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 4
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna massif, as golden light slowly illuminates the surrounding peaks—one of the true highlights of the trek.

After breakfast, begin your descent by retracing the same route through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), Deurali, and Dovan. As you lose altitude, oxygen levels increase and the cold alpine terrain gradually gives way to greener forest landscapes.

By late afternoon, you arrive at Bamboo, a quiet settlement nestled among dense bamboo and rhododendron forests.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Overnight: Tea house/lodge in Bamboo.
Day 5
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Today’s trail includes a mix of ascents and descents through lush forests and traditional mountain villages. After passing Sinuwa, you climb back up to Chhomrong, and then descend toward Jhinu Danda, a village well known for its natural hot springs.

In the afternoon, you can take a short and relaxing walk down to the Jhinu Hot Springs, located beside the Modi Khola. Soaking in the warm pools is the perfect way to ease tired muscles after several days of trekking.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Overnight: Tea house/lodge in Jhinu Danda.
Day 6
Trek: 2 hours | Drive: 1 hour

After breakfast, begin a short and pleasant trek along the river trail to Nayapul, passing through small villages and terraced farmlands. This marks the end of your trekking adventure.

From Nayapul, drive back to Pokhara, where the trek officially concludes. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a well-deserved rest by Phewa Lake or explore the city at your leisure.
